These terms apply to every maker who opens a shop on artorganic.world. They come on top of the general Terms & Conditions.
Who can sell
- You must be at least 18 and sell items you made yourself, by hand.
- When you register, you choose whether you sell as a business or as a private individual. If you sell as a business, you must give your registered business name, address, Chamber of Commerce (or equivalent) number and VAT ID, and keep them up to date. We show this on your shop page, as EU law requires.
- We review new shops and may refuse or close a shop at our discretion.
Your listings
- Photos and descriptions must show the actual item, its materials, size and any variations honestly.
- Show your handling time, shipping costs and return policy before purchase.
- Mark items that cannot be returned (custom-made, personalised, perishable).
- You must follow the law for what you sell, including product safety and labelling rules.
- Not allowed: mass-produced or resold goods, counterfeits, items that infringe others’ rights, weapons, drugs, live animals, and anything illegal in the Netherlands.
Fees
- Opening a shop is free. There are no listing fees.
- We charge a commission of 8% of the item price for each completed sale. Shipping costs are not included in the commission base.
- Stripe’s payment processing fees are paid by you and deducted from your payout.
- We may change fees with 30 days’ notice by email. Changes do not apply to orders already placed.
Payments and payouts
- Payments are handled through Stripe Connect. To receive money you must create or connect a Stripe Express account from your vendor dashboard. Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement applies between you and Stripe.
- Stripe verifies your identity and bank account. We do not collect or store your bank details.
- When a buyer pays, we collect the full amount on your behalf. Your share (price + shipping, minus commission and Stripe fees) is transferred to your Stripe account once the order is marked completed.
- Refunds, chargebacks and disputes on your orders are deducted from your balance or future payouts.
Shipping and orders
- Ship within your stated handling time, and use tracking for items over €50.
- Pack items so they arrive undamaged. Risk stays with you until the buyer receives the item.
- Mark the order completed once it is delivered.
Customer service and returns
- Answer buyer messages within 3 business days.
- If you sell as a business, you must honour the 14-day right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee as described on our Returns & Withdrawal page.
- If a buyer complains to us and you do not resolve it within 14 days, we may decide on a refund and deduct it from your balance.
Taxes and reporting
- You are responsible for your own income tax and VAT.
- Under EU rules (DAC7), digital platforms must collect and report seller data and sales income to the tax authorities. You agree to give us the information this requires. We may withhold payouts until it is provided.
Content and rights
You keep ownership of your photos, texts and artworks. You give artorganic.world a free, non-exclusive licence to show them on the site and in our marketing (including social media such as Pinterest and Instagram) while your shop is active.
Suspension and closing your shop
- You can close your shop at any time. Open orders must still be fulfilled.
- We may suspend or close a shop after a warning, or immediately for fraud, illegal items, repeated complaints or serious breaches of these terms.
Liability
You are responsible for the items you sell and for any claims about them. You will cover our costs if a third party holds us liable for your products or listings. Our liability to you is limited to the commission we earned from you in the previous 12 months, except for intent or gross negligence.
Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
